Why Literacy Matters

I am passionate about what I do and I care deeply for my students and their families.  I strive to individualize each student’s intervention plan based on specific needs, challenges, age and personalities in order to achieve the best possible outcome. Having training and experience in two very different, yet very effective intervention approaches, I can also provide a student with a variety of instructional angles.  After years of experience, I am able to detect a student’s unique challenges and find strategies that work. I feel it’s important to be accessible to families and students to answer questions, address concerns, and offer support. Communication regarding student progress is frequent and in some cases, parents check in on a daily basis.
